Some Thoughts to Ponder Regarding Investing and Ourselves

There are often more questions than answers in dealing with a turbulent stock market.

In preparing for a short presentation for an investment group, I was faced with more questions than answers. Since the onset of the pandemic our physical, mental, and fiscal health has been negatively compromised.

One year ago, I wrote an article in Making of a Millionaire entitled, “Market Declines, Volatility and Reality”, which addresses some of my concerns regarding current market conditions. This article will approach the art of investing from a question-and-answer format.

Some Lessons Learned About Investing

Most of my insights have come from the School of Hard Knocks. In truth, I have experienced both the highs of euphoria as well as the lows of despair because of the stock market’s randomness.

In my search for a magic investment formula, I have found that none exist. Although a well-thought-out strategy can be effective for an unknown duration of time, it will not consistently work under all market conditions.

The key is to develop a personal approach, which allows you to sleep at night and then have faith in it despite significant market gyrations. With this type of plan, time, compounding and patience…
